I was contacted recently regarding my first Lego engine. When I was 14 going on 15, I made this steam engine from Lego. The pictures are snapshots from the prints that I got from taking pictures with an old 110 camera in June of 1986. The back of the prints show the date. I had gotten the pictures developed at a local Meijer one-hour photo lab, so I know the photo paper they used would have been fresh (and the picture is in a series from the same time around June ’86).
This is “my” first Lego steam engine, but the word in the community is that Mattias Wandel had made one around 1985.
